Are you looking for a really good Prime Rib Seasoning? Try this.
Remove the roast from the refrigerator. Season the entire roast with our Boo Yah Beef seasoning. Let it sit on the counter for 15 minutes. Now season the entire roast again with our Cattle Call seasoning. Gently rub in the seasoning with your fingers. Let the roast sit on the counter for another 20 minutes. Now Bake it, Smoke it or Grill it how you wish.
Or follow this oven method,
Place the seasoned roast in a roasting pan. Some seasoning will fall off. Simply scoop it up and pat it back on the roast until entire roast is covered.
Preheat oven to 325°.
Place uncovered roasting pan on center rack in oven. Cook approximately 14 -17 minutes per pound for rare, depending on the size of the roast. In conventional household ovens cooking times vary so always check roast sooner than later. You can not “uncook” but you can always cook longer! And remember, a prime rib roast must rest at least 15 to 30 minutes after you remove it from the oven. This allows the juices to seep in and the flavors to continue to blend.
Check center of roast for desired doneness using a meat thermometer. We like ours rare. We cook a 12 LB. prime rib for 15-17 minutes per/lb bringing internal temperature to 125 degree’s. For my family…this is perfect!
Cooking times and temperatures vary with the method of preparation used, the size and shape of the roasts cut and the desired degree of doneness.

Test roasts for doneness using a meat thermometer placed so the tip is in the center of the roast, not touching bone or resting in fat. Remove the meat from the oven when the thermometer registers 5-10° F lower than the desired doneness, as the temperature will rise after it comes out of the oven. A quick-read thermometer can also be used in roasts and is often used in testing steaks for doneness.
Remove roast from oven and let rest 15-30 minutes before serving.
